The Growing Community
Ever thought about joining in but worried you're too slow, too unfit, or just not 'a runner'? Leave that worry at home, at Looney Loops, there's no such thing as not fit enough.
We believe movement should be joyful, not judged. Whether you walk, shuffle, jog or run, and whether that's one loop or ten, you belong here. Nobody's chasing personal bests or watching a leaderboard; we're simply a community that shows up for each other, because turning up really is the whole point.
No pressure. No judgement. No need to be fast. Come as you are, move at your own pace, and you'll leave having met some brilliant people and had a proper laugh along the way.
Best of all, it's completely FREE and open to every age and ability. Just turn up on the 3rd Saturday of the month, between 10am and 12noon, at Banbury Rugby Club, we'd love to see you there.
Looney Loop founder shares his thoughts...
It's wonderful watching families do their loops together — the younger legs often go whizzing off, while parents walk or jog along behind, knowing full well they won't keep pace the whole way round.
Every month since Looney Loops was established there has always been new faces attending. I am delighted that so many people are getting involved with attendances now reaching over 100.
I never expected people to travel from outside Banbury to attend, but they do. Pictured centre are Steve and Teresa Edwards, who travelled all the way from the Cotswolds to join in.
